چکیده

Effects of dietary supplementation inulin in dairy cows were investigated this study. Thirty-six mid-lactation Holstein randomly divided into six groups with per group and offered a total mixed ration supplemented 0 (control), 50, 150, 200, 250 350 g/d head, respectively. The animals pre-fed for 2 weeks before rumen fluid, milk blood samples collected weekly 3 weeks. With increasing doses, yield (p < 0.01) fat concentration = 0.04) linearly increased, while urea nitrogen somatic cell count decreased. Linear increases also detected the proportions saturated fatty acids polyunsaturated 0.04); however, monounsaturated decreased 0.04). ruminal concentrations acetate, propionate butyrate pH NH3-N reduced at decreasing rate doses 0.01). Moreover, lactic acid 0.03) volatile upregulated. There linear serum superoxide dismutase 0.02), immunoglobin G 0.01), M 0.04), interleukin-2 interleukin-10 quadratic protein albumin 0.02) decreases cholesterol triglyceride malondialdehyde results indicated that increased production, shifted profile, upregulated concentration, enhanced antioxidant immunity function dose-dependent manner.

Association of Birth Type and Pregnancy Type with Lactation Performance and Lactation Curve in Holstein Dairy Cows in Iran

The association of birth type (single vs. double) and pregnancy type (single vs. double) with lactation performance and lactation curve was investigated in Holstein cows in Iran. Data of 243298 lactations on 138021 cows in 261 herds collected during January 2000 to December 2012 were used. The average twinning rate was 3.64% and ranged from 1.44% (primiparous) to 5.41% (multiparous). Factors as...

Effect of Different Rumen-degradable Carbohydrates on Rumen Fermentation, Nitrogen Metabolism and Lactation Performance of Holstein Dairy Cows

Four multiparous lactating Holstein cows fitted with rumen cannulae were fed diets varying in the amount and source of rumen-degradable carbohydrates (starch vs. sucrose) to examine their effects on rumen fermentation, nitrogen metabolism and lactation performance. A 4×4 Latin square with four diets and four periods of 28 days each was employed. Corn starch and sucrose were added to diets and c...

In vitro and Lactation Responses in Mid-lactating Dairy Cows Fed Protected Amino Acids and Fat

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of ruminally protected amino acids (RPAAs) and ruminally protected fat (RPF) supplementation on ruminal fermentation characteristics (in vitro) and milk yield and milk composition (in vivo). Fourteen mid-lactating Holstein dairy cows (mean weight 653±62.59 kg) were divided into two groups according to mean milk yield and number of days of p...

Comparison of Different Lactation Curve Models to Describe Lactation Curve in Moroccan Holstein-Friesian Dairy Cows

In this study, the incomplete gamma function, an exponential function, a mixed-log function and a polynomial function were evaluated to describe the lactation curve in Moroccan Holstein-Friesian dairy cows. Data from 1990 to 1999, comprising 77130 monthly milk yields of 6029 dairy cows in 280 dairy herds, were used. Edits were carried out by considering the lactation length (5 d and

Estimation of Genetic Parameters for Lactation Curve Traits in Holstein Dairy Cows in Iran

The objectives were to estimate (co)variance components and genetic parameters for lactation curve traits in Holstein dairy cows in Iran. The used data were records on Holstein cows collected during January 2003 to December 2012 by the Animal Breeding Center of Iran (Karaj, Iran). In order to describe the lactation curve, an incomplete gamma function was fitted to 691200 test-day records on 962...
